We will update this page weekly with learning tasks for the children to complete at home. We recommend that you plan and prioritise the basics- English and Maths. Children learn better in the morning so focus on these subjects then.

Could also include:
Design & Technology
Try and keep to a similar routine each day and build in regular break times. Physical activity will be more important than ever.
To contact your child's class teacher, use the listed email below. These email addresses are to be used to ask questions about learning activities sent home or set online. Teachers will endeavour to respond during normal school hours. Any other questions should be sent directly to Mr Simmons.
Welcome to Year 4!
PE days are Tuesday and Friday. Everyone needs to come dressed in their PE kits on those days.
Spelling tests are on Fridays - make sure you learn your new spellings each week for super scores.
Reading books will be changed when necessary but please note that books returned have to be placed in quarantine for 72 hours so this may limit the amount of different books we have available at certain times.
As we cannot swap reading books at school, you can now continue to read books on Oxford Owl. It is your very own virtual bookshelf! https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/
Select the pink my class login icon at the top of the screen.
Login as: wsfclass4, wsfclass5 or wsfclass6- according to class4, class5 or class6 and use the password Summer1.
Click on the pink my bookshelf icon at the top, then use the search bar to search for a book by theme, series or age group. There are also optional activities to complete which can be found in the parents section.
Have fun! Keep reading!!
As part of our English work this year we will be following the Talk4Writing process using story maps to help internalise the texts we are using. We are currently using a 'change story' as our focus. With your child look at the story map below and discuss it.
