Year 4 camping - June 2019
Having a fantastic day camping. Lots of exciting actives: life skills, water purification, bugs, buns and blazes.
Y4- HOOK lesson on persuasive writing (letters). Year 4’s were astonished and shocked to see the hall floor covered in rubbish! We discussed what we should do with it and thought about how important recycling is.
Y4 - HOOK lesson - Journey Story - Mrs Hollis brought in a packed backpack ready for a journey. We looked at the contents and discussed why we might need specific items. We also found a Hobbit's map.
Y4 - Conquering the monster story ‘hook’. Mrs Hollis turned into a Viking storyteller and the children listened to the story of Beowulf.
Y4 Instructions- ‘hook’. Class 4, 5 and 6 all received a special delivery through the post today. It was a letter from a Stone Giant and a gift for each class.
Y4 Wishing Story ‘hook’. Every child in Year 4 was given the opportunity to make a wish in our special wishing well.
