Please complete all activities in the red book that was sent home from school. The teachers would love to see the work you have completed when you return to school, so keep all your worksheets and creative work in a folder. You could also add photos to show what else you have been up to at home. Take care and stay safe everyone!
Please open the file below to find the targets that year 3 children are expected to achieve by the end of the year. Could we please ask that you work on these targets when you listen to your child read and aim to achieve all of them by the end of July.
Use the targets in conjunction with any reading the children do, it doesn't have to be their school reading book.
Thank you for your support. This will help to prepare them for Year 4.
If you are unsure about anything, please do not hesitate to contact us, we are here to help.
Welcome to the Junior School. We hope you have all had a lovely Summer and are now ready to learn lots of new things in Year 3.
Things to remember in Year 3:
PE days are Wednesday (outdoor) and Thursday (indoor) - Please ensure your child has their kit in school. As the weather becomes cooler, your child will need jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt as well as outdoor trainers.
Homework - this will be given out every Friday and handed in on a Wednesday.
Dictionaries - thank you to those parents who have already provided your children with a dictionary. If your child has not got a dictionary yet, please purchase an Oxford dictionary as soon as possible.
Reading - Your child will soon be bringing home a reading book. Please ensure your child reads at home every day and you sign their diary.
Please look at our Spotlight on the Curriculum for this term to see what your child will be learning this term. Our topic this term in "Northern Lights".
