The children have settled really well and getting used to Junior School ways. Well done!
In English, we are learning how to write a story about change. Our text is Princess and the Pea. Please keep practising our story map!
In maths, we are learning Place Value. The children are practising the value of digits in a number using ones, tens and hundreds. Class 1 are using diennes, number arrows to help them master their knowledge.
Class One are back and ready to learn.
This half term we are looking at the story of Pinocchio and the world of puppets.
In Science we will be making one of our own!
Could you bring in a sock by Monday 12th of November?
Pictures will follow shortly after.
We would also like to thank you all for your generosity towards the volcano items and Harvest Festival.
You are all superstars, Class One! :D
Class 1 met the animal kingdom yesterday! (03.12.18)
First of all, a massive thank you to all the parents and carers of our class for keeping our very special treat a secret. Your children absolutely loved the visit of Kristan from ‘Lion Learners’ the specialist animal care company.
As I am sure you can imagine, all of the children were extremely excited and eager to meet all of the wonderful creatures, as were Miss Moore and Miss Olorenshaw. We shared our classroom with:
Tilly the Tarantula
Blizzard the Bearded Dragon
Theo and Oreo the Rabbits
Merlin and Arthur the Guinea Pigs
Autumn the Snake
Belle the Hen
Basil, Pumpkin and Bianca the African Giant Snails
Flame and her fun friends the Centipedes.
The children were very kind and considerate to all our living things so we were very sad to say goodbye.
Here are a small selection of our children meeting them…
Sports day results are in! *DRUM ROLL* We can reveal the winning class for the Infants was Silver class and the Juniors was Class 5. Congratulations for all your hard work! Well done to everyone who participated. Check out the video of pupils in action on the Federation gallery page.
