Our Christmas Tree decorations
The children have taken a series of sessions to design, make and evaluate their Christmas Tree decorations. They have tried hard to measure carefully and accurately, use tools - including saws - decorate (thinking about colour choices and patterns) and follow a plan whilst making adjustments as they encounter problems. I hope you agree, that their final results are superb...

We had a wonderful day today, thinking about activities that help us to relax, unwind and de-stress .
We began the day with a writing for pleasure activity. Everybody chose a book that they wanted to write in and were given the choice of whichever genre of writing that they wanted to complete. We watched a short documentary about a cameraman filming giraffes. We also read a Fairytale with a twist to give some children an idea for their writing.
Lots of children loved the opportunity to write for themselves about topics of interest. Some children wrote about our class novel ‘My brother is a Superhero.’ They enjoyed sharing their writing with others too. Many were keen to share with everyone!
Later, everyone enjoyed decorating their books whilst others were keen to continue their writing further. We also made woollen butterflies as a calming activity and completed some physical activities outside.
The day helped us to remember to be kind, take care of ourselves, look out for one another and seek help whenever we are worried.
