Gold Class Teaching Assistants are Mrs Baker and Mrs Lamberton
This week Gold Class are working on counting to 10 and recognising numbers to 10. We have spotted numbers around the classroom and school. We have also used a range of Maths resources to help with matching and counting to 10 including; numicon, ten frames, peg boards, whiteboards and pens.
Great work Gold Class!
Challenge: can you count backwards from 10?
Gold Class have had such an exciting day today making lots of Christmas decorations to spruce up our classroom ready for Santa.
Lots of glitter, sequins and paint was used and we can't wait to start transforming Gold class next week. We had some Christmas music 🎶 to help us get in the spirit and Miss Galpin, Mrs Baker and Mrs Lamberton were very impressed with all your dance moves.
The children have been learning the difference between good and bad characters. They have spotted that the big bad wolf is a bad character and the 3 little pigs are good characters. They also helped Miss Galpin identify other characters from books, cartoons and films and have been able to put them in the correct groups of good/bad characters. Well done children you have worked super hard in your first few weeks at school!
The children have had a wonderful first few weeks in Gold class, making new friends and getting to know each other. We have been very busy learning new stories such as Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and The 3 Little Pigs.
Please have a look at the range of stories and texts below. Over the summer holidays try and familiarise yourself with some of these ready for September - we can't wait to hear about your favourite story!
School doesn't normally look like this, but we have the rooms set up especially for our smaller 'pod' groups that are in school at the moment. We cannot wait to welcome you to a bright and sunny building in September.
