Anti- bullying week
We all enjoyed wearing our odd socks to show we celebrate being different. We looked at what bullying is and how we can STOP it by starting to tell other people.
What a fantastic first week back, the children have all come back ready to learn and have earnt 50 marbles which won the marble challenge in school this week.
We have started our new topic ‘memory box’.
We have read the book dogger, and made links to ourselves, made predictions, and made lost posters.
We have explored different toys and what what are made of and feel like, we then wrote about a toy from home and looked at its materials and their properties and we are hoping to send these to Sudbury toy museum as we are unable to visit.
What a fantastic first half term back!
The children have settled in and adapted to a new way of school brilliantly and we are super proud.
we finished our 3 little pigs topic by building all the buildings on the high street and recreating the street. We’ve ended the term with pumpkin biscuits. Enjoy the half term and see you after the holiday.
We’ve had another exciting week, we’ve learnt all about the different houses the three pigs construction build. We can now identify detached, semi detached, terraced, flats and bungalows.
We’ve learnt about addresses, please look out for something special coming through the letterbox soon!!
World mental health day 9.10.2020
Today we have talked about our emotions and how we feel, we’ve practised 5 finger breathing, we’ve listened to calming music and coloured a mindful colouring in. We have made worry dolls and lavender smelling bags to help us feel calm.
We have had a new friend visit us in red class this week, she was a little upset and nervous as her old class were a little mean, as she’s not like us and looks different. We promised we would make her feel welcome, and share with her and ask her to join us to play and eat. We have been enjoying welcoming Poppy into red class. We’ve said nice things to her and hopefully she’s a lot happier now she’s in red class.
Red class enjoyed building houses for the 3 little pigs out of straws, sweets and marshmallows. It was quite tricky and a bit sticky too. The big bad wolf then came to test the houses to see which ones were strong enough to stand up to the huffing and puffing
This week we received another letter from the not so big bad wolf, he asked us to help him think of some games he could play with the 3 little pigs now they’ve let him, after he used his manners to ask nicely to come in.
We thought of some games, and then practised playing what’s the time Mr Wolf and red light, green light.
Is the big bad wolf really bad?
we have received letters from the 3 little pigs to join their construction company and help them build big strong houses, we then has a letter from the wolf explaining he wasn’t really bad he just wanted to play but doesn’t know how so we looked at manners and acted out how if we used our manners it would help.
Our topic this half term is called 'A Place to Call Home'. We will be learning lots about ourselves, our bodies, our feelings and our relationships with others. We will be learning about the things that are the same about us as well as the things that are different and all the special and unique things that make us, us!

This is our class mascot. But sadly as yet, it has no name! Can you think of a good one for it? We can agree on its name in September.
