Welcome back everyone, we hope you have had a brilliant summer and are ready for a fantastic year in Purple Class!
Our first topic this term is At The Seaside.
We have had a fun-filled first week learning about the seaside, making our rainbow fish swim in the ocean and even eating some chips!
We voted for our classmates to represent our class for the school council!
This week we have also voted for our eco-councillors!
Well done to the children who got 100% attendance for Autumn Term 1!
Your seaside projects all look amazing! Super effort and creativity!
We had a fabulous time at Cadbury World learning about the history of chocolate and Mrs Wilkins, Miss Bale and Miss Devine were incredibly impressed with your behaviour!
Yesterday we had Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service in school to show us a smoke alarm and teach us how to ‘stop, drop and roll’.
Today we have been participating in a role play activity showing our Fairtrade learning.
You have put so much effort into the chocolate homework a big well done!
We have all just been to visit Santa, hope you have all been good this year!
We had a brilliant first day back finding out about our new topic ‘Land Ahoy’. We made boats using different materials and discovered if our boats could float or if they sank! We also made items to take on our boat, we had eye patches, telescopes, flags and even a hook!
We were very lucky to have Steady in for our basketball lesson today! Over the next few weeks we are going to be learning special basketball skills and we are really excited!
