We are a very happy class and we always try our best
Blue Class are very lucky as we have a very special friend who lives in our class.
This is Patch he is our class Mascot.
Each week Patch chooses someone to take him home for the weekend. He looks for children who have tried really hard. When he comes home with you he brings his bag with his blanket, bone and Diary because he likes you to either write, draw or stick in photos of your special adventures with him. Please remember to bring him back on Monday morning with all of his things so that he can share his adventures with everyone.
Who will Patch come home with this week ?
This Term our Topic is
Knowing Me Knowing You
We have been looking closely at our faces identifying and naming our features.
We looked at the colour of our eyes and hair, we identified our eye brows, eye lashes, ears, nose and mouth and other features such as head, cheek, chin and neck.
We also have labelled parts of the body using our phonic skills to sound out to spell words.
We developed our art skills further to create a portrait of ourselves.
Look at our fabulous portraits !

Chinese New Year
The children were very lucky to be invited to see a real Chinese Dragon perform in the hall.
The dragon was brightly coloured, with shiny scales and a horn on its head to scare away spirits and bring good luck.
The children sat beautifully and were very excited to watch the performance.
The children enjoyed visiting Wales this week. They enjoyed looking at the sights and trying some Welsh foods. Mmmmm Welsh cheese and Welsh cakes.
Basketball with Steady
The children enjoy learning new basketball skills. Very impressive Blue Class!
Wow Blue Class You Rock!!!
Blue Class enjoyed lots of maths activities yesterday and they all looked awesome!
World Book Day
It was really nice to see the children’s favourite books, and to share them with each other. In class we learnt about Julia Donaldson and enjoyed reading Tyrannosaurus Drip 😊
The children have been super scientists today and have explored what would happen to different substances when cold or hot water was added. The children predicted whether or not the substance would dissolve and then as a Class we carried out the experiment to see what would happen. The children experimented on salt, sand, sugar, coffee and pepper.
In the afternoon the children did 2 more experiments. They investigated what happened to Skittles when water was added and what happened to cola when Mentos were added. The children especially enjoyed the cola and Mentos experiment 😊.
