Autumn Term Two
DOES CHOCOLATE GROW ON TREES?
This term our topic will be all about chocolate. To start off our term we all tasted different flavours of hot chocolate, some chocolate flavours made us make some very strange faces when we tasted it.
As part of our new topic we have enjoyed a fantastic day out visiting Cadbury World. We learnt a lot about the history of chocolate and how Cadbury’s manufacture and advertise their own chocolate range.
As part of this weeks English we have been looking at stories that contain a wish. We watched a part of Mary Poppins, this was where Bert drew pictures on the pavement of places he wished he could visit. Mary Poppins and the children joined Bert by jumping into the pictures and going on an adventure.
We have drawn our own chalk pictures and enjoyed exploring what it would be like there.
