THE BEE FARMER
This week we had a visit from Dave the Bee Farmer. He told us lots of facts about bees. Did you know,
There are two categories of bees, the honey bee and the bumble bee.
In the Uk there is only1 species of honey bee and 24 species of bumble bee.
There is only 1 queen bee in each colony and she lays 2000 eggs each day, while the other bees have different jobs throughout there life span.
Ask your children and I’m sure they will be able to tell you many more interesting facts about bees.
