Year 3 had a great day out at Beaumanor Hall last Monday.
They learnt how to become warriors on the battlefield, they became detectives finding clues all about the Iron Age people. Then sampled life in an Iron Age round house and had a go at the daily chores.
The children made some fantastic round houses, we have had lots of compliments from adults who have visited our classroom.
It may have been a short term but we have been really busy!
In English we have been writing a suspense story, at the beginning of the term we had to become detectives and try and piece together clues to see what was happening.
We have read The Night Gardener and used this text to help us write a whole class story.
As part of our English topic we had to take part in a mock trial, the children really enjoyed this and were brilliant!
Congratulations to Emilia and Georgia the first two children in Class 2 to be awarded a Bronze star! WELL DONE!
The Christian Value this term is PERSEVERENCE. Children that demonstrate perseverence in their work and attitude in school will be praised and celebrated. " I can do all things through Him who strengthens me " (Philippians 4.13)
